Excelerant Ceramics’ Catalyst Design
- Excelerant Ceramics’ supports are activated
Commercial catalysts are composed of metallic nickel particles (the catalyst) dispersed on the surface of a catalytically inactive material. Excelerant Ceramics’ catalysts are dispersed on an active material – both materials function as a catalyst. This unique quality yields superior performance by increasing the efficiency of the hydrogen production process while simultaneously improving the durability of the catalyst. The active support is especially advantageous for small scale fuel processors where high activities are desirable to minimize the reactor volume.

Excelerant Ceramics’ Catalyst

- Excelerant Ceramics’ catalysts are completely regenerable
The catalysts are completely regenerable in situ, meaning the initial catalyst dispersion and catalyst size are recovered. The ability to regenerate the catalyst in situ reduces our customers’ costs by effectively extending the lifetime of the catalyst while improving the reliability of the fuel processor.
